Sweet little red feet

Today I observed a dove at Keregodi Rangapura near Tiptur. The dove's feet were red. Until today I didn't know that the dove's feet are red. This incident reminded me John Keat's lines:

Sweet little red feet! Why would you die?

Blessed am I

The following lines are given as pre-reading activity for the lesson 'The Will of Sacrifice' (p. 112) prescribed for 9th standard:

Blessed am I that I am born to this land
I had the luck to love her.
What care I if queenly treasure is not in her store
But precious enough is for me
the living wealth of her love

ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರೇಮದಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ಜೀವವು ಮಾನ್ಯವಾದುದು ತಾಯಿಯೇ
ರಾಣಿಯಂದದಿ ಮೆರೆಯೆ ಸಿರಿತನವಿಹುದೊ ಏನೋ ಅರಿಯೆನು
